FOUR YEARS AFTER TALIBAN: WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

This photo was carried by CNN on its website today. It shows that the full-covering burgkha is a traditional form of dress and not some evil incarnation of the Taliban. It also proves that the Taliban were demonised by an American/media propaganda campaign to further "justify" the invasion of Afghanistan in the eyes of a gullible and ignorant population. It also shows that the ridiculous American propaganda talk of "freeing" Afghan women was just that: propaganda to justify their invasion of Afghanistan. The examples are too numerous to mention, but this propaganda report from The Guardian dated 28 September 2001 was typical: "The top-to-toe burka, with its sinister, airless little grille, is more than an instrument of persecution, it is a public tarring and feathering of female sexuality".
